Sheep and their Shepherds

We've most likely all heard before that sheep know the sound of their shepherd's voice. They follow their shepherd because they know he will lead them out of danger, to nourishment, to safety. They know their shepherd to be caring, committed, and when necessary ready to fight for every one of them. Even though the sheep know these things to be true of their shepherd, sometimes they wander off anyway.

Friends- let us all STOP WANDERING LIKE SHEEP! Jesus tells us "I Am the good shepherd"- (John 10). Life will put us all in valleys with no mercy. Life does not discriminate- we will all have hard times.

Trust is learned. Trust is HARD. Trust is essential. I struggle with trust myself. At the end of the day: Whose voice will we listen to during times of joy? Whose voice will we listen to during times of hardship?
